A driver and a group of good samaritans in Wollongong have had a near miss after an out-of-control bus rolled through the streets before crashing into a home.
Photos from the incident at Cordeaux Heights show the path of destruction carved by the bus before it came to rest in a front yard on Monday morning.
The driver, a man in his 60s, was treated at the scene by paramedics after suffering a suspected medical episode.
Members of the public came to his aid and entered the bus; however, it began to roll down the street, a NSW Police spokeswoman said.
They were forced to jump from the bus as it began to roll down Staff Road.
The bus hit two parked cars, a power pole and several bins that had been placed on the sidewalk before ending up in the front yard of a home.
